Well seem like forever since I sat down to write on here. Not that I will be missed as I don't seem to have any followers as of yet. Who knows maybe time will tell, if not then let this be a little record for myself so I can look back and recall moments in my life.

I have not been on here for a very good reason, one which I have been hoping and waiting for quite some time, A house move. Not just any old house move but a move to some where I have yearned for and wished for a very long time. Cornwall!! The house is full of boxes and there is know rhythm running through it just yet. Our belongings are still finding their places within its four walls but I can quite easily call this place home. I feel a real sense of belonging here, I wake up in the morning and smile at the feeling I get when I remember where I am.

My good friends in Hampshire are dearly missed and I think about them all very often, they know how much I love them, I am sure a visit will be in order very soon.

We have been here for 2 weeks now and in that time many things have happened. Oliver has started school which he has taken too like a well fitted glove. Elizabeth and I have been attending the Mother and toddler group and are slowly meeting other Mums and babies. Kirk (he is still working in Hants for a few months) and my dear Mum have been and gone at various times. We have found our local children center, charity shops and most importantly an amazing parkand of course beaches for the little ones to play at. So one doubts there will be any excuses for boredom while we are here. Aside from all of the above our house has the largest garden imaginable for a married quarter and my mind is oozing with ideas and inspiration which I cannot wait to start bringing to reality. I am so, so happy about the garden I almost feel swept off my feet, I'm not really sure where to start or what to do first. For now I am just gathering thoughts and catching my breath as the whole over whelming experience and reality of this life changing event is still settling in my boots. I still cannot believe how my life has changed almost over night. I am very very pleased..................

I hope you are all having a lovely day. As the weather is improving I seem to becoming more motivated and thought of our move in 2 weeks seem less daunting!

My most recent crochet project, I need to make up 50 of these in different random combinations. The blanket might be finished by the Autumn with all that is currently going on........House move on the 7th April!!

I got this lovely Garden tool set and the flask from some wonderful people I know..........thank you so much, you will be missed xxx

Mothers Day......A very special Day.

As the Kids and I are down with my Mum and Dad in Cawsand for a few weeks I visited one of my most favorite places in the whole wide world today. Mount Edgcumbe Country Park is a Magical Estate situated in Cornwall on the mouth of the River Tamar across from Plymouth in Devon. It shows off some wonderful spring garden walks filled with Daffodils, Camellias and other flourishing flora that is around this time of year. My children enjoyed it immensely and rolled on the grass, rambled through the woods and went about the business of what children generally do best..... playing! My Mum accompanied us which was fabulous, we have had a truly wonderful Mothers Day, the lovely weather being the icing on the cake. I added some photos..............

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.

Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.

Our visit to RHS Wisley

Last Saturday we enjoyed a lovely day at the gardens of the Royal Horticultural Society. We were child free for the first time in what seems like forever. Thank you Mum and Dad for giving us this opportunity, was fabulous to feel completely grown up for a change. I received my new camera the day before so used our day out to play with my new toy...............................

...............so here I am, unable to sleep.

I have been tossing and turning for a couple of hours now and have decided to give up on sleep for now, very reluctantly may I add!! A troll through some of my favourite blogs and of course the usual wish list sights such a the dot com gift shop and Etsy . Any how, I have eventually got to the Cath Kidston site to find a FREE magazine with FREE delivery. Yes I did say it, FREE magazine with FREE delivery!! Before getting to the Cath Kidston site I was starting to feel sleepy and began to consider climbing the stairs once more to gently persuade my mind of a little more sleep. But now with this exciting little discovery I am wide awake once more!!

Moving back to Cornwall

Well we have known for some time that Cornwall was going to be on the cards this year. My husband is in the Navy and we only live in Hampshire for this reason. Over the past 7 years here I have grown to love it I have formed close friendships with some wonderful people I will be truly sad to leave. However I have struggled think of here as home and every time we pack the car up and trundle down the A303 (the road from Hampshire to Devon) I can't help feeling that I truly am on my way home. Before Christmas I didn't dare think about the likely chance we would be moving down to Cornwall to the little town of Helson. The thought of allowing myself to start planning and get excited then for plans to possibly change was unthinkable. Any how, it looks like a definite now so I am just a tiny bit Happy!!

Helston is an old mining town and these day a home to many of the Service personnel who work on RNAS Culdrose. I have managed to find a fabulous little village school for my son who will start reception class next September. They also have mother and toddler groups running from the school twice a week which I can take Elizabeth to.

I am yet to inquire about allotments in the area and this has been playing on my mind some what. I used to have one but unfortunately, due to yet another Naval move we had to let it go. I loved my allotment and enjoyed growing all kinds of fruits and vegetables, spending time in the fresh air with just my thoughts or the radio for company. I have even been thinking about the possibility of hiring a piece of land from a farmer?? I would love to explore the possibility of keeping live stock, maybe some pigs and chickens or even some dairy cows. Goodness I need to stop it!! Now I am dreaming, I find it very easy to get carried away with my thoughts and ideas.

We have decided to keep our little yacht Jammy Dodger near my parents house up a Picturesque creek on the River Tamar called Millbrook. This means we will have access to Plymouth Sound and Cawsand bay without a weekend (or more) sailing trip. I think as the children are still tiny Day sailing with no more than a couple of nights on board will be easier. I have a wonderful image in my head being moored in 'The Bay' with the Kids and I playing on the beach and Kirk fixing something on the boat (some thing he loves to do). Keeping the boat in Millbrook also means if Kirk is deployed my Dad can help to keep an eye out and look after her as she can be a very demanding lady!!

Any way these are just a few of my plans and thoughts for our exciting move down to the place I love best. I am sure to share more on here as things pop into my head. I simply cannot express how pleased I am about this I want to shout it out loud!! And move tomorrow!!

The week before this we were playing in the snow up in Hampshire with out hats, scarves and gloves. At one point during our stay down in this hidden corner of Cornwall Oliver waded up to his waist to retrieve an uncollected dog toy. I really can't wait for our next visit, hopefully I will have my new camera!!

My Family!!!

I have spent the evening adding links, photos, tweaking the layout etc. I now can't resist doing one last post before it will most definitely be my bed time! I have a severe case of obsessive compulsive disorder so am unable to put most things down even if I want to, especially when they are new and exciting. Oh and I have so much I could talk about on here, I feel like I could bubble over like a simmering pot on a stove.

I wanted to post a few pictures of my lovely family just so I could introduce them properly..............

My First go!!

Thank you for visiting me!!

This is very exciting!! I must say I have been pondering whether to give this a go for a while now and today is the day. I have spent the whole weekend turning my craft bits upside down, sorting them, throwing out and finding things hidden in draws that were long forgotten. I also took a break here and there when I got an idea and did a bit of making.........more about that later!!

I just feel I have lots to talk about and where better than a blog spot to do that!!

Any how, about me...................I am a stay at home Mum with 2 beautiful little people and a fabulous husband who I love dearly and am tremendously proud of!! We have 2 bouncy border collies in our family called Toby and Daisy, they are utterly crazy but I couldn't be without them.

I enjoy crafts of any kind, gardening and cooking are also of interest to me. I love using my hands to create beautiful things!!

We are a sailing family and have a little yacht called 'Jammy Dodger'. She is only a little lady but she definitely has a big personality, we have had many fabulous summers on board her. I am generally at my happiest while on or near the Sea, I find it soothes my mind, body and soul. Walks on the beach are part of daily life in our household, the dogs like a quick dip, even in the freezing winter waves. My 3 year old hunts for sticks and shells and all other wonderful things you find on a seaweedy tide line. I love the way the Sea is never never the same, on each visit there is always something different about the way it looks, moves, smells. I just can't get enough of it.

Having recently had a Little Girl who is 1 I have rediscovered my feminine side and am utterly obsessed with pretty girly items, not just for my daughter but for myself. Anything Cupcake or polka dot gets my creative juices going. I am also desperate to learn how to crochet, any advice would be greatly received!!

I think that little paragraph just about sums me up, I could keep going on and on but then you would be reading this forever!!
